Is it safe to surf in Famara with children?

Yes. For beginner classes, we choose the area and time slot with the calmest conditions, and instructors are always in the water with the group. Recommended for ages 8 and up.

What's included in the class?

Board, wetsuit, certified instructor, liability insurance, and VIP reception with water, fruit, and coffee before getting in the water.

What happens if there aren't good conditions on the day of my class?

Safety first. If the sea conditions aren't good, we'll reschedule your session for free or give you a full refund.

Can I record my session on video?

Yes. The Intermediate VIP and Gold sessions include video recording and technical feedback. You can also add a photo pack as an extra to any option.

How do I get to Famara from my accommodation?

Famara is about a 25-minute drive from Arrecife and 35 minutes from Playa Blanca. There's free parking next to the beach.

When to go

La temporada principal de surf en Lanzarote va de octubre a abril, cuando las borrascas del Atlántico Norte generan los swells más consistentes y las olas alcanzan su mejor tamaño y calidad. Es la época preferida por surferos intermedios y avanzados.

De mayo a septiembre las olas son más pequeñas y suaves, lo que convierte esta etapa en la ideal para iniciarse, ganar confianza en el agua y disfrutar en familia. La temperatura del mar ronda los 19–23 °C todo el año, así que solo necesitarás un neopreno fino.
